* For didactic purposes we will use the C Major Scale as a reference in the examples.
It is called Ionic Mode to the scale that is derived from the Major Scale taking its first degree as its root, and is the basis of contemporary Western popular music, it contains all natural degrees (without alteration).
In the C Major scale, its Ionic Mode is C Ionic and corresponds to all the notes of the Major Scale, so we can say that the Ionic Mode is the same as the Major Scale.
It corresponds to 1st degree of the Major Scale and to 3rd degree flat A Natural Minor Scale.
